My Name is Claire. I am the founder of Blooming Bumps Midwifery. I started Blooming Bumps Midwifery to be able to offer women more choice for their pregnancy care with a known midwife. Continuity of care throughout pregnancy enables women to be able to make informed choices and decisions surrounding their care.
I have worked in the field of healthcare for many years, I was an emergency nurse for 15 years, in the UK and Perth, before becoming a midwife. I have worked in different models throughout the midwifery field, through private and public hospital setting, midwifery group practice, at a family birth centre, a community midwifery program, risk model, where i helped women achieve VBAC, and low risk home-birth model.
Every element of my midwifery practice has led me to this point to advocate and offer women in the community pregnancy choices. Building up effective relationships with a midwife throughout the whole of your pregnancy and into the postnatal period, allows you to develop the skills and empowerment to trust the process of pregnancy and birth.
