Alkimos Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. We are a family friendly general practice serving the Alkimos and surrounding coastal communities. We are committed to providing high quality, patient centred healthcare in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our team of experienced doctors, nurses, and administrative staff work together to provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages. We focus on continuity of care, prevention, and long term health outcomes, making sure every patient feels listened to and supported.

After Hours Services: 
If you require medical care outside of our opening hours, please consider the following options:
For urgent medical emergencies, please call 000 immediately.
We are partnered with Night Doctor, a deputising after-hours GP service that provides home visits. Night Doctor operates outside of our normal opening hours and will send a report of your consultation back to your regular GP to ensure continuity of care. For bookings, please contact them from 6pm on 1300 644 483.
 
 
 
We also recommend Get Better Doctors, who provide after-hours telehealth appointments only in our area. Appointments are bulk billed for eligible Medicare or DVA card holders. Please note that home visits are not currently available in this area through Get Better Doctors.

You may also attend the Yanchep Urgent Care Clinic, which provides care for non-life-threatening conditions.
Opening hours: 7:00am – 7:00pm, 7 days a week.
For more serious conditions, your nearest hospital emergency department is Joondalup Health Campus, which is open 24 hours a day.

Results & Recall Policy
At our practice, we are committed to ensuring that all patients receive their medical test results in a timely and confidential manner.
How Results Are Managed:
  • Test results are not provided over the phone unless specifically arranged with your doctor.
  • Results will only be discussed during a follow-up appointment with your doctor.
  • If your results require urgent attention, you will be contacted directly by our team.
Booking a Follow-Up Appointment:
  • It is your responsibility to book a follow-up appointment to discuss your results.
  • Reception staff cannot interpret or provide test results over the phone.
Normal vs Abnormal Results:
  • If your results are normal and no further action is required, you may not be contacted
  • If your results require further discussion or action, we will contact you to arrange an appointment.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Alkimos Medical Centre complies with the Australian Privacy Principles and maintains strict security of all personal health information.
Medical records are securely stored and accessed only by authorised members of our healthcare team. We take all reasonable steps to protect patient information from misuse, interference or unauthorised access.
Patients may request access to their medical records in writing in accordance with privacy legislation.

Interpreter Service
  • We are committed to providing accessible and inclusive care for all patients. If you or a family member require assistance with communication, including language interpreters or Auslan (sign language) interpreters, please let us know when booking your appointment.
  • We can organise an interpreter (free of charge for medicare ligible patients) through the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS
    National) or other appropriate services to support clear and effective
    communication during your visit.
  • For the best experience, we recommend advising us of your needs at the time of booking.
